Many entrepreneurially-minded PTs across the U.S. have jumped at the chance to access contract work with FeldCare Connects. Find out why.

Traditionally, physical therapists are paid a salary to work in a hospital, clinical setting, or even at a school. If that is what you are looking for, then FeldCare Connects will not be a good fit for you.

FeldCare Connects brings freelance rehab therapists together with home healthcare agencies, helping agencies and their patients find a wider variety of qualified specialists to care for the patient’s rehabilitation needs. All PTs that utilize FeldCare Connects are entrepreneurial – using the network to find contract work that fits their criteria.
If that interests you, read on or start the application process here.

How Does FeldCare Connects Provide Physical Therapists with More Independence?

Physical therapy professionals working in a clinical, hospital, or school setting often get patients assigned to them, and they have little choice about whom they take or what issues they want to tackle.

Because FeldCare Connects is a facilitator, not an employer, utilizing our network allows entrepreneurial physical therapists to:

  • Make their own schedule.
  • Determine the zone in which they are willing to travel.
  • Choose an area or patient type in which to specialize.
  • Work in a patient’s at-home/natural environment.
  • Work with patients to find solutions for their difficulties.
  • Help patients to tackle hurdles that may not be immediately apparent in a clinical setting.
  • Supplement their income with contract work.

Many entrepreneurially-minded PTs across the U.S. have jumped at the chance to access contract work with FeldCare Connects. Below, we share five additional reasons why this is the case.

How Does FeldCare Connects Give PTs Workplace Independence?

1. Working independently allows you to control your schedule.

When working as an independent contractor in the FeldCare network, you control your caseload, schedule, and service area. Whether you are employed full-time or just looking for summer work, you can create a schedule that works for you and the patients you decide to take on.

2. Choose your area of specialty.

When working in a clinical setting, you are required to take the patients assigned to you. Working independently allows you to specialize in cardio-pulmonary or ortho or some other specialized area of PT.

3. The FeldCare Team is your support team.

You are not alone in your freelance work with FeldCare Connects. We have a team of specialists on staff who can support you. Our staff are happy to answer questions, share information about updated Medicare requirements, discuss paperwork issues with you, talk about the requirements of a particular agency, and more. While you are an independent contractor, you are not in this alone. Our support staff is ready to help with any questions or concerns.

4. Choose the amount of work you do.

At FeldCare Connects, you choose your workload. So, you can choose only to do evaluations and discharges, decide to take on an assistant role, accept the entirety of a patient’s care, or go on hiatus and accept no patients for a period. It’s up to you.

5. Access to prequalified home health agencies.

We do not just prequalify the therapists in our network. We also ensure that all home health agencies that join our network are qualified and have the appropriate licensing and credentials. This means that once you join FeldCare Connects, you will gain access to pre-vetted home health agencies and have the chance to help their patients.
